NEW ORLEANS (NEXSTAR) — Super Bowl ticket prices in New Orleans are lower than last year but remain high, with the average price for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles game at $6,552, according to the Associated Press.

That would make it the third highest for a Super Bowl. The lowest price for a ticket was just under $4,000, having decreased by about 30% since the matchup was announced.

For the price of a $4,000 Super Bowl cheap seat, you could buy 1,000 orders of beignets, 307 of New Orleans’ signature hand grenade drinks, or 650 slices of pizza on Bourbon Street.

Eat and drink not your thing? The price tag could purchase 13 of the $300 Super Bowl bomber jackets or 15 regular season tickets to New Orleans Saints games.

Despite the decline in prices, attending the Super Bowl in New Orleans remains pretty darn expensive.

I think I’ll watch from home and take the pizza slices.
